Will is our Future Chef

Today Will participated in the Future Chef's cooking competition. His recipe was chosen along with 19 other kids from a pool of about 1600 to make their conncoctions and have them judged. They all won tons of prizes and had a blast cooking! Will got 2nd place in the Fun Foods category! He was thrilled! He was a tiny bit bummed out that he didn't win one of the hot dog cookers but he still had a really nice time!

Happy Almost Spring

OK, today I am officially sick of winter! It was 60 degrees on Monday and now it is below zero again! What is this??? Oh ya, Montana! Gotta love it. I realize I have once again been very delinquent with blogging but most of the time I just don't think I have anything that important to talk about. Today however is your lucky day because I think I have something to say! Ha!

So I got contact lenses yesterday for the first time in like 13 years! I have to admit that I did this because I felt like I looked so OLD in my glasses. I think my eyes are one of my only good physical qualities that I have left and I should show them off instead of hiding behind those frames that aren't comfortable anyway. I have a huge headache from wearing them too long because the people at the eye Dr. didn't give my any instructions like how long to wear them! Good Grief!! Anyway, I am really hoping that they get more comfortable to wear as the days go on.

I have been staying home the last couple of days because my dear friend and Drew-care provider lost her 5 month old nephew to SIDS. She had to fly to Duluth Minnesota to help take care of her family. Please pray for them. I have had the privilege of taking care of her children while she is gone. I also got to have Jacksen over today! Taking care of three four year olds is much harder than being a secretary in an elementary school of 300!

I should give an update about our new house! All the walls are sheet rocked and Bill is starting to tape and mud the walls! After that is all done we will paint and so on and so forth. So we should be moving in by the end of April if all goes well! I am really happy with the progress and throughout this process I have learned so much! I have a tendency to feel completely sad and over whelmed when we don't have money in the bank and my husband is working himself into the ground and I am taking care of the kids by myself and trying to work full time. Go figure! Hence the reason I don't want to build any more homes and I can't wait to move into this one! But through the frustrations Bill and I are stronger in our marriage and have learned a few lessons about how to spend or not spend the money God provides us with. I think learning that we aren't the providers but that God is has been paramount! I am very thankful to God each and every day for my healthy kids and loving husband and now a house that we might not be able to afford when it's all said and done! But I am a very optimistic person and I fully believe that God will continue to provide for us when we need to make our house payments in the future! Thanks God!

Merry CHRISTmas!!

What a lovely Christmas day it has been! LOTS of time with all our family! What a huge blessing! I have really been marveling at God's goodness. I have been blessed with so much that I take for granted. I think I spent most of 2010 feeling sorry for myself! I really think it's time to be done with that! I sure don't get to enjoy all that God has in store for me when I'm not obedient to Him! Geez, I gripe at my kids almost everyday for their lack of obedience to me. Not a very good example! So, I would really like to focus more on the good things in life and not everything that frustrates me! It has also taken a toll on my marriage. I have had a hard time feeling happy with my husband. Funny thing, when I'm dwelling on the negative I am not very nice to my husband and I take all my frustrations out on him. He is such a good man. He loves me even though I am moody and ungrateful! We have so much to be thankful for together! I pray that with God's help 2011 will be an amazing year for us and our children! I will pray the same for you and yours!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Finally!

Well, I have finally had two minutes to sit down and update my blog! Good grief Charlie Brown! I hope you are all well! Thanksgiving was super yummy and Black Friday shopping was a huge success! I am almost finished shopping! WooHoo! I was thinking about all the things I personally have to be thankful for and there were so many I couldn't even keep track of it all. However I have been in the most unthankful mood lately! My friend Jen calls it Debbie Downer mood! I am there lock stock and barrel! I am praying for a more thankful and upbeat attitude to come over me!

Will's art work!

Will worked very hard on his rendition of a beaver dam on the Missouri river in Springtime! Beautiful art work if I do say so myself! He is such a creative little boy!

Summer Sunset Holter Lake

Summer Time!!!

Hi, I'm back and so is summer! We have been swimming and playing and just plain goofing off! My how my boys have grown. We had our first fireworks stand this summer and it was a huge success! Bomber Brothers Fireworks was Uncle Franks idea! It was definitely a long two week adventure but totally worth it in the end! I meant to add those pictures below the words, guess I'm a little rusty!

Guess what??? I got a new job! I am now the secretary at Warren Elementary School! I am so excited to see kids and work with families again! I am nervous about starting a new job again but I know this is God's plan for me and I am following His lead! Here's to a great new school year for all of us!

Dano is going into middle school this fall and Will will be in 4th grade a Rossiter Elementary! And Andrew well, he is 3! Enough said about that! Bill has been working his fingers literally to the bone and is wishing it was winter again! Summers are hard on Bill because me and the boys get to do a lot of playing and he gets to do a lot of working. He's still trying to find a way to retire early, very early! Good luck with that honey! Here are some more pics of the beautiful summer days we have had! TTFN!

busy, busy, busy!!!

My goodness it was a busy weekend! Bill and I took the kids up to Holter Lake just before the snow started! Thankfully we made it back home before the roads got bad! Then I spent the afternoon baking Christmas cookies with my sisters and my Mom and friend Tracy. It was a blast! We made Trilbies, Snickerdoodles, Peanut Butter Fudge, and Orange Snowball Cookies! YUM! I think I gained 10lbs. just thinking about baking them! I am taking most of mine to a cookie exchange tomorrow night. Next I raced home to get ready for an evening out with my hubby. My Aunt Sherry and Uncle Kim took Bill and I out for dinner at On Broadway. First they presented Bill with a plaque that they had made for him to put on their porch as a way to honor his amazing work. He rebuilt most of the front of their home and yard last summer! My husband is an amazing builder! We ate and visited for about 4 hours! What a nice time! Then we decided to head to Wal-Mart to do some Christmas shopping for the boys that are spending the night up at Holter Lake with Grandma Lila and Papa John! It was soooooooooo nice to be able to start and finish a whole conversation! Anyway we ended the night around 11:00 when Hastings closed! Today was fun too! Lila and the boys made it safely into town from Holter Lake for church and then Lila and I stayed and wrapped presents for the Angel Tree at church. Then we did a little shopping and went home! Lila made it back up to Holter Lake safe and sound and all is well with the Fields Family tonight! Made God richly bless your week! Love you all!

Sing unto the Lord a new song!

Well, after the death of our Grandma Nancy, my children have made me realize that I still have much to be happy about! We spent last Friday evening at my Aunt & Uncle's home to reminisce and just enjoy that fact that Grandma is in heaven now! I am so thankful! This is a picture of Drew enjoying the fire place at my Aunt Sherry & Uncle Kim's home!
Andrew & Jacksen sharing a big snuggle in front of the fire place! They really do love each other! We also went to the Festival of Trees last Saturday afternoon to watch Will sing in the choir for his school. Cousin Sean Patrick was here from Chicago to enjoy the festivities and enjoyed a moment with his sweet little Andrew! Sean and his wife Hope are expecting another baby in March! I think Sean was missing his sweet little boy Finn! I know I was!

If you look front and center you will see my handsome boy Will getting ready to sing! What a total cutie! He did a wonderful job! He is such a joy! Watch out guys he is gonna be a chick magnet when he gets older! :)

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers during the past few weeks! Love to all!

Giving is Living!

I think this should be my new motto for 2010! I am so thankful today that my sister recreated my blog site yesterday for me! I am also thankful for my many friends, family and the people that God puts in my path at just the right moments. I am so very thankful that I know my Grandparents are in heaven! My prayer today is that those of you who don't know Jesus will ask him to come into your heart today and save your soul! He is the way the truth and life! No one can come to the Father except by Him! I love you all, Happy Thanksgiving!

Good Bye Grandma Nancy

This beautiful little Gramma of ours went to be with the Lord yesterday. I am so sad for me today but I am rejoicing with God that one of his daughters went home to be with Him yesterday! She was a truly amazing woman. This beautiful lady never said an unkind word about anybody! I know that is hard to believe but that is how she lived her life. She had an unwavering strength about her in everything that she faced. She was a mother of 3 boys and a grandmother to 4 girls and one boy. Then much to her delight she was the great grandmother to 8 boys and 4 girls. She was just the best. I will miss her so much but I am very happy today that she is back with my Grandpa and all her sisters and parents that died before her. Love and miss you Grandma Nanny!

Christmas Tree Decorating & a date!

We broke down and got a fake Christmas Tree this year! We are heading to Portland the day after Christmas to see Bill's brother and sister-in-law so we figured a fake tree would be best! I have to admit, it sure was easy and it looks nice. We decided on a white, silver, and gold theme. Will and I spent about an hour decorating. On another note, Drew had his first lunch date with Carla today! Jen and I took them to Pizza Hut and it was so fun! They talked and played and Carla gave him a high five and nucks! We can't wait to get together again! Thankful today for all the many blessings we have been given! Praise the Lord!

This is the historic part of Ketchikan. We stayed at the Gilmore Hotel which is the 3rd building to the right in this picture. The tall mountain in the back is called Deer Mountain. That is the only snow we saw.
This our cute littel nephew Wylie! He is 5 months old in this picture. He is such a smiley baby!

And this is Wyatt! He is 1 and 1/2 and is super cute! He really likes to play outside!

This is a picture of Bill and I standing on the pier in the evening. It was so beautiful!

This is a picture of Bill thumbing an eagle butt! LOL!!!

Good Bye Barn!

Good Bye Big Green Barn!
Well, it's been a very unusual few weeks for the Fields Boys! First there was the dreaded H1N1 that struck our boys. Will was severely sick from this bad bug. Then it was Dano turn and he just could not quite kick it for 3 weeks! We have missed church for 6 weeks straight now from the bugs!

Next came the big move! We moved out of our big green barn under the assumption that it was sold and we would be signing papers on Friday, October 16th. We found out Tuesday the 13th that the people who we had the buy/sell agreement with might be getting deployed to Iraq instead of Montana! And so our worst fear with this selling and moving came true. They are not buying our EMPTY big green barn and we are living in Bill's parents house in their trailer court until further notice! We have so many decisions to make as to what our next plan is now! Just a tad overwhelming! Please keep the Fields Family in your prayers each moment so that we might have God's clear direction. We definitely need it!

God Bless this beautiful Fall!

Moving Day!

Hi All,
Well sorry I haven't posted anything for so long! A whole month!! What's up with that you may be wondering. Well, we all got some seriously yucky colds and now we are moving! That's right, we close on the sale of our big green barn on Friday, October 16th! Whew! I am very relieved to be moving on to a new chapter of our lives! We are moving into Bill's parents house at 234 Bonner Rd. #10 and then as soon as Bill is finished building his parents home at Holter Lake he will start on our next house! If anyone knows of, or finds any cool moose stuff for houses let me know! I love Moose! I am looking for everything from knick knacks to a light fixtures! Bring it on! So this weekend we are moving out of our house and it just happens to be so far a very cold weekend here in Helena! Typical for a move! I will post some pics of the new digs as soon as we get everything over there and can sit in front of the computer again! As always here comes another prayer request! Please pray for everyone that is sick right now. There is so much sickness here in Helena, it is almost unbelievable! Both of my sisters families are now sick! Hopefully not from us! :) Lots of Love TTFN

Will looking very frightful at the baseball game.

Dano looking like a roofer with rebar stuck in his head? Wha roofers don't use rebar?

Andrew and his cousin Kellan at the park last weekend!

What an event filled weekend! First I want to say how thankful I am that Dano is finally feeling better after struggling for two weeks with a cold and asthma. Praise God! Bill and his folks and myself took the boys to a baseball game on Thursday night and had a great time! The Brewers beat the Missoula Osprey! Andrew had a ball running around the stadium with Grandma Lila! Saturday had Cody & Morgan and Ami over for a little play time. I had fun visiting with my oldest sister while she did my hair and make-up for my date night with Bill!

Ok now I will tell you about date night! Bill and I went out for dinner at the Brewhouse and shared a pizza and then we went down to the fairgrounds to meet up with one of my bestest friends ever, Jen and her husband Bobby for a benefit concert. Bobby plays bass in a band called Flathead 45. They were awesome! Then Roxslyde played and they were ok but during this whole event Bill was a having a couple of drinks, I wasn't really paying attention to how many and before we knew it Bill was feeling no pain! Then the band Cold Hard Cash played and they were incredible! I really like Johnny Cash music though! Bill wasn't enjoying it all by this time and was ready to go crawl into bed. NOT for that though! He really wasn't feeling very good today at all!

This morning we got up and got ready for church, not at our church but at our neighbor/friends church to witness the baptism of my God-Daughters River May & Alpine Emma Meury. They are such beautiful little ladies and I am so blessed to have been chosen to be their God-Mother! All in all it was a wonderful weekend!

Fishing Fun!

Three very dead fish!
Will and his large rainbow trout!

Dano with his medium size rainbow trout!

Here we are hanging out at Holter Lake fishin' the day away!

This is the progress on John & Lila's new home at Holter Lake! My husband is quite the builder!

Labor day weekend started out well for the Fields Boys! Up to Holter Lake we went. This was the first time we have been out in the boat since early spring and it was really a great day! We decided it was a day for fishing and Dano was the first one to reel in a fish. He caught a medium sized rainbow trout and he was so happy he decided to pray that Will would also catch a fish and God heard his prayers! Will caught a nice little Walleye! None of us have ever caught a Walleye before so this was an exciting catch! He put his line back in and just a few minutes later he caught a rather large rainbow trout! We dedided to head home as the weather was heading our way. Dano says I smell smoke and the next thing we know the engine of the boat was seriously smoking! I was very thankful that it was raining but I was also feeling a little nervous because we were right out in the middle of the lake and most everybody had already gone to shore. Bill to the rescue! The engine cooled down and we were able to get the boat home! Sounds like the boat needs some repairs however! We had quite a feast of beer battered fish for dinner! We also got to eat some delicious halibut that Jeff & Lori Straw brought us from Alaska! YUMMY!
