Will jumped!

What a busy weekend! We had a ton of fun at the airshow this weekend. It was super hot! Bill got a bad sun burn and I got sore neck from looking up. Sucks to get old! There were so many airplanes and helicopters to look at! Just amazing! Andrew had a great time there and also ended up with extremely sun burned cheeks. After the airshow we had a really nice day at Holter Lake with Grandparents Fields. As you know we will be spending a lot of time up there come July and August as Bill and his Dad are building a new house up there. (Pic of foundation on last post) John and Lila bought a camper for Bill and I to stay in and so we cleaned it out and made some desperately needed new curtains for it! It is a beautiful bright orange inside as it was brand spankin new in 1971! Very retro! I think it will be great for our family!
Will had a really great time jumping off of split rock up at Holter Lake! It is a pretty high jump for a kid Will's age! All three boys had fun being towed around behind the boat in the "Big Bertha" inner-tube!
I still haven't figure out how to rotate a picture! Sorry!

Nice jump Will!

Hi Bill and Drew! Drew loves being in the tube with his Dad!

Happy Father's Day!

Father's day at Holter Lake. It was wonderful day! The weather was beautiful and the kids had a ball while John & Bill dug the foundation for the elevator that is going into the house they will be building this summer. The boys and I had fun catching frogs and crawdads! John and Lila bought a camper for us to stay in while the building is taking place.

I just have to add that Carla is finally home from the hospital in Salt Lake City. She is doing superb! Drew can hardly wait for a play date! Roxy and Aaron's baby River is still in the hospital in Great Falls but is doing really well! Please continue to pray for Roxy to continue to heal and for River to grow and breathe well!

A day with Grandma Nancy!

Isn't this cool! Yesterday we took Grandma Nancy downtown for a walk and some ice-cream from the Parrot! Then came the rains. It has rained for 24 hours straight now! YEAH!!! We really needed the moisture. I think the garden might actually grow now! I will have to post some pictures of that next. Last evening we went out on the deck and found this beautiful rainbow. Thanks God!

Summer Break for Mom, Finally!

Today is my first official day of summer break. It is so nice to be able to hang out with my kids and know that I don't have to answer to anyone today, until Bill gets home and notices my shopping trip! Just kidding! Anyway, I have had a lot of great phone calls from friends that we have been praying for. Carla is feeling much better today. It sounds like she will be coming home this weekend if she continues to heal! Praise God for her recovery and healthy healing heart! My neighbors Roxy and Aaron's twin babies were born on Tuesday afternoon and are just beautiful! Roxy had a really rough c-section and baby River had to be flown to Great Falls for a couple of days. She is doing really well though. I would really appreciate continued prayers for all.

Dano and Will have been enjoying swimming lessons all this week and will continue through next week at Carroll College. They are like little fish in the water! We are hoping to go swimming tomorrow at the new splash park! It should be very interesting with Andrew tagging along! I only have one new picture of two of my handsome sons to post, so enjoy!

Sunday Blessed Sunday!

Today has been a very fun day! Dano finished up his soccer season today by making his first goal! Will finished up his soccer season by blocking the other teams shots at the goal! Drew could have cared less about all this, he just ran around kicking his soccer ball and making eyes at everyone! Last evening we met the McCauley's at Memorial Park for a delicious and nutricious McDonald's dinner. The kids played for almost 2 hours.

I just got a phone call from Jen and she said that Carla has been moved to the regular floor and should be coming home in a couple of days! Praise God again and again!

This will be my last week of work for the summer and I can hardly wait to stay home with my kids and try to keep up with the house work for a change.

I think summer is here!

It was 80 degrees by around 11am today! Drew got a cute new little swimming pool to play with on the deck and was having a ball getting wet this morning! Dano decided he is a little too big for it and Will played the Wii! Bill and John put the sheeting up inside the garage today and the kids and I took them some lunch. It sure is hot out there!
Update on Carla; She is healing up very fast and looks great. It sounds like she will be home before we know it! Praise God for healing Carla! Pray for Jen though, she is very worn out emotionally and just needs some extra strength! I think we are going to meet up with the McCauley's for dinner tonight! FUN! Dano and Will have their last soccer games tomorrow afternoon! Glad to be done with all the running around! Swim lessons start on Monday though! I will post pics tomorrow! TTFN!

Finally, Summer Break!

Our kids made it through the 4th and 2nd grades! Their report cards were awesome, as expected! We had a fun afternoon yesterday hanging out downtown and getting a new book at the Montana Book and Toy Company. The boys will now be officially employed with Fields Construction for the next week while Mom finishes out her work year! I will be off after next Wednesday for the summer then they can decide to go to work with their Dad or hang out with Mom. I am so excited to spend the summer with my 3 awesome kids! They are truly the light of my life!
I have to update you on the condition of Carla Tootie! She had the Fontan surgery yesterday and made it through with flying colors! She was having a bit of trouble with the ventilator last night and some problems with the pace of her heart. She also had a bit of a fever. Please pray for her healing and recovery! God has poured out his blessings on this child and her family. She needs a fast recovery, after all she is 2!
Please pray for my co-worker Gina. She is in labor and is 40 1/2 weeks pregnant with her first baby. She is a little nervous and needs the peace of God to surround her. My neighbor Roxanne is also about to have her twins! She is scheduled for a c-section next Friday, June 19th. Her girls are named Alpine & River Meury! Please pray for her to make it to next Friday! As you can imagine I am very excited about having two little girls to dote on!
Thanks for praying and I will post pictures soon!

PRAY FOR CARLA TOOTIE

Carla is going in for the heart cath this morning. Please pray for her to make it through this superbly! Please also pray for the Fontan surgery they are doing tomorrow on her little heart. This is her last big surgery! Praise God that they are doing it now instead of in a year. Please just keep her in your prayers and pray for her parents Jen and Bobby to have peace in their hearts as their little one goes through this!

Tomorrow is Dano and Will's last day of school! WOO HOO!!! I will be done for the summer in one week! WOO HOO!! We are all definately ready for break from the daily grind! It will be nice to stay home together for a couple of months!

This past weekend was a real treat at our house! Dano thought if put a slit in the middle of a piece of paper and then set it over the flame of the candle it would make a whistling noise! Sounds cool huh! Not so much! Of course the paper caught on fire and Dano freaked out and dropped kicked onto the recliner and burned the arm rest. Naughty Naughty! Anyway, atleast our house didn't burn down and all is well!

Never a dull moment in a house with 3 adventurous boys!!

Cody and Morgan came over for dinner on Saturday night and Drew was posing silly for the camera with his awesome curly hair!

Friday night

Most people either want to stay home and relax on Friday night or go to some fun event, right? We are definately out of the norm! I decided to take all 3 boys grocery shopping last night at 8:30 so that we could stay home all day on Saturday! Drew really likes to take his shoes and socks off in the car on the way to where ever we are going. I guess this is the life!
On another note, I really need everyone to pray for one of my bestest friends in the whole worlds daughter. Carla Wright is 2 yrs. old and was born with a heart defect. The left side of her heart was very underdeveloped at birth. She has had a couple of surgeries already to make her heart function with just the right side. Jen and Bobby will taking Carla to Salt Lake City tomorrow morning and she will be having some very serious tests done to check and see how her heart is functioning. Please pray that Carla will feel a supernatural peace during the whole event and for the doctors to have wisdom. Please pray for Jen and Bobby to also have that peace that transcends all understanding during this difficult time. Pray for Carla to lay completely still after the procedure so that she doesn't have a stroke. Pray for their safety on the trip to and from Salt Lake City. Pray for Carla's heart function to be great and to increase! And don't forget to thank God for the grace and mercy that He has already given! k
I also need you to pray for my cousin Lacee. She is almost 23 and has systic fibrosis. She isn't doing very well right now and really needs some prayers. She is in the hospital in Great Falls and will be there for atleast 2 weeks. Please pray for her lungs and especially for her emotional healing. She has gotten very depressed over the last year and doesn't want to live through this systic fibrosis anymore. She needs encouragement and peace!
Thanks for praying! Have a great weekend!
Love, Katy

The longest walk ever

Yesterday I had the brilliant idea of taking my 3 boys and our 1 yr. old yellow labrador, Brewtus, for a walk. Before we even got out of the driveway Will locked the keys in the car. That was just the beginning. I let the big boys ride their dirt bikes while I pushed Drew in the stroller while holding Brewtus's leash. Sounds great doesn't it! It was until we got out of the driveway. Brewtus has no idea what heel means so he kept wrapping his leash around me and the stroller. OUCH! Then Will decided he couldn't squeeze his brake on his dirt bike hard enough and started careening out of control down the hill. I let go of the stroller to stop Will and the next thing I know Drew is careening out of control down the hill! And all the while Brewtus is trying to yank me all over the place. So we decide to turn around and go back home. Will is still not wanting to ride his bike so I get on his tiny little dirtbike and am riding it down the hill while Will pushes the stroller. I burnt my leg on the dirt bike and said way to many cuss words. Then my lovely husband came and picked up the kids and the dog and let me walk the rest of the way home by myself. I almost kept walking all the way to the nearest bar! Instead I went home and made dinner.

Helena History Fair

We had a really fun weekend. The boys and I went to the Helena History Fair downtown on Saturday. The boys had fun checking out all the guns and the cannon! Drew, of course, just enjoys being with his brothers. We also took Bill, John and Sam some lunch out at our property where they were putting the trusses up on the new shop! We had soccer games yesterday and dinner with our friends Klint and Jesika Fisher and their boys. FUN!!! We stayed out too late last night so pray that the kids will make through this last full week of school before they are out for summer break next Wednesday, June 10th! We are all ready for summer break!
